Just when I was about to give up on the ginger... here it is. This is a day (or two) growth, its about an inch above the surface. Fresh ginger here we come!

Good work on the ginger. I've got 3sprouts going well. I found that even it doesn't sprout it "lives" fine in the soil. I've dug up some ginger and tumeric 3 months after I planted it and didn't sprout and it was still fine. Better than storing in the kitchen!
